Abstract:
Labor input and vocational education are essential parts of industrial productivity. In this study clarifying theoretical and empirical background, impact of vocational education on the Turkish industrial production index were analyzed by causality and regresion tests. Empirical findings of ECM and causality of analysis show that there is a direct and positive relationship between industrial production index and vocational education. In other words, there is a one directional causality relationship between vocational education and industrial production index in Turkey for the period of 1975-2007, and as theoretically expected, an increase in vocational training effects industrial production positively.
